ITINERARY
Day 1 – Friday – Arrive in Palermo where you are greeted by a T.O.A.S.T. representative and transported to the Central historic district near Via Maqueda, where you will be staying. Afterwards, you can spend the rest of the afternoon and evening strolling the famous Via Maqueda urban promenade. That evening you will enjoy a dinner reception on us.
Day 2 – Saturday – After breakfast, at the hotel, there will be a walking tour encompassing several historic landmarks, markets, and local experiences. Then you will enjoy a scenic tour, in our luxury mini bus, of the many historic sites in Central Palermo. That afternoon, you will be transported to Historic Tusa, and will check in for 7 nights into our newly renovated four-bedroom home, where you will have your own private bedroom and bathroom. That evening we will gather for an authentic family style dinner on us.
Day 3 – Sunday – We will start the day with a guided walking tour of Tusa (Mass is available). The tour will continue to the newly discovered archaeological site of Halaesa. That afternoon, there will be an interactive cooking experience where you will get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. That evening after a siesta, we will gather at the Belvedere for cocktails and light bites.
Day 4 – Monday –In the morning, we will make our way to the Tus Hotel, a 4 star spa. After, we will be heading to Santa Anastasia Winery where we will be doing wine and food pairing and a tour of the winery. After the winery, we will be taking a scenic drive to Castelbuono. There you will have the opportunity to view the famous Castle and other charming sites of Castelbuono and enjoy the many tasty pastries and street food.
Day 5 – Tuesday – In the morning, we will travel on the local SS113 along the coast to Cefalu where you can spend the day at the beach, shopping, site seeing or hiking La Rocca. Later that evening we will be heading back to Tusa where you will have time to freshen up before heading to Fabrizio’s for dinner.
Day 6 – Wednesday - We will be traveling to the volcanic island of Vulcano. There you will have the option of partaking in the sulfur baths and hot springs. Then you will board a small boat to explore the coastal beauties of Vulcano.
Day 7 – Thursday – Campagna Oil tour experience from the grove to the first press. Afterwards, we will be visiting Santo Stefano the ceramic capital of Sicily. There you will visit a ceramic factory and museum. In the evening we will be going to Castel Di Tusa for dinner at the Grotta Marina restaurant.
Day 8 – Friday – Free morning. Choose from a local 4- star spa, making local cheese, olive oil or pasta*, Tusa Marina beach, swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, boat trips, and for the more adventurous Gole Di Tiberio Gorge*, downhill mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding*, or a 4-wheel art exhibit tour. The cost for these excursions range from 0 – 80 Euro per person. A representative from T.O.A.S.T. will assist you with bookings and of course transportation is always included.
*Activities and excursions vary depending on season
Day 9 – Saturday – We head to Taormina where you will have your choice of a guided tour and spend the rest of the day enjoying Taormina or an optional half day excursion to Mount Etna. That evening, we will all gather for our farewell dinner with stunning panoramic views.
Day 10 – Sunday – After breakfast you are transported to Catania Airport for your departure.
